Asian languages can be a challenge for western ears and tongues. I found this program very helpful and entertaining. 
I was very comfortable greeting people, conversing, bartering and asking question in Thai, though my accent often brought smiles and giggles. The Pimsleur programs work best for anyone planning a short vacation, who speaks little to none of the native languge. This really is the course I've been looking for. This course has me actually wanting to try what I've learned with my Thai BF. He loves it. Some small corrections, but I think that's formal vs. casual.

I LOVE this course. Listen to one lesson a day, repeat it if you like (when traveling and you can't speak out loud) but make sure at least one is out loud.

And it REALLY works.
